We’re excited to announce that Aalo Atomics has been selected as one of four partners to develop up to 1 GW of nuclear energy generation capacity at the Texas A&M RELLIS Campus. This groundbreaking initiative will provide clean, reliable power to support RELLIS’ existing and upcoming data centers, including those driving AI and high-performance computing.

This collaboration represents a pivotal step for the future of advanced nuclear energy and an important milestone for Aalo. We are exploring the potential to deploy several Aalo Pods, each containing 5 x Aalo-1 reactors and 1 turbine, delivering a 50 MW output per pod. The modular design ensures redundancy during reactor refueling and maintenance, offering unmatched reliability for critical infrastructure like data centers.

A Strategic Partnership with Texas A&M

Our partnership with Texas A&M is about more than energy—it’s about accelerating innovation and inspiring the next generation of engineers and scientists. Located just 90 minutes from Aalo’s Reactor Factory in Austin, this project is an ideal fit. It will streamline logistics and help rapidly scale deployment.

Texas A&M will also play a vital role in facilitating project success by:

• Securing state and federal funding opportunities

• Assisting with site licensing and environmental reviews in collaboration with the NRC

• Helping identify offtake opportunities for the generated energy

Regulatory engagement is already underway, with initial early site permit exploration in progress.

Powering the Future of Clean Energy and AI

As the world moves toward net-zero carbon emissions, nuclear energy must triple by 2050 to meet global climate goals. Projects like this are crucial for realizing that future, not only by scaling clean energy but also by inspiring the next generation of nuclear innovators. Located in the heart of an academic hub, the RELLIS project will offer hands-on opportunities for students and researchers, encouraging fresh talent to join this rapidly growing field.

It’s an exciting time for nuclear energy—and we’re thrilled to be at the forefront of this transformation alongside Texas A&M. Together, we’re driving the next era of clean, scalable, and secure power for the future.
