Jon Guidroz joins Aalo as SVP of Commercialization and Strategy

We’re excited to welcome Jon Guidroz as our new SVP of Commercialization and Strategy at Aalo Atomics!  

Jon brings a track record of industry leadership, deep expertise in energy innovation, and a passion for driving the clean energy transition. With decades of experience including leadership roles at Amazon, Google, and Microsoft, Jon has shaped the future of energy technology, driving more than $1 trillion in market growth through groundbreaking strategies and global partnerships. We’re thrilled to have him on board as we scale Aalo’s mission to deliver clean, firm power at scale.

Jon’s career exemplifies the transformative potential of technology in the global energy sector. His leadership has consistently driven innovation and delivered impactful results:  

• At Microsoft, Jon led global energy commercialization strategies, launching transformative products built on open-source energy consortia and forging influential partnerships with industry leaders like Schneider Electric and SLB.

• At Amazon, he pioneered the creation of AWS’s energy vertical, unlocking new opportunities for cloud-powered innovation across the energy ecosystem.

• At Google, he drove growth through strategic collaborations spanning Google Cloud, X, and DeepMind, fueling innovation in energy AI and sustainability.

Jon’s expertise extends beyond technology leadership, drawing on a decade of hands-on experience in the energy industry. This includes his work at a hydrokinetic energy startup, where he led efforts to commercialize an advanced form of hydropower. Securing early adopters, navigating complex regulatory frameworks, and engaging diverse stakeholders provided Jon with invaluable insights into the intersection of innovation and implementation.
